Rev. Kevin Buzzard

Pastor Kevin, better known as "PK" is the lead pastor of Sawyers Creek Baptist Church in Camden, NC. He graduated from Fairmont State University with a B.S. in Marketing/Management, from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.A. in Biblical Counseling, and from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary with an M.Div. in Theology. He lives with his wife Susan and their two children Eli and Emery. He became a Christian at seven years of age while living in his hometown of Scott Depot, WV. He was called into the ministry while on a mission trip to the Philippines in 2000. He served as a full time student pastor for thirteen years at both Carey Baptist Church in Henderson, NC, and Fellowship Baptist Church in Moyock, NC. His interests include video games, graphic novels, fishing, pro wrestling, basketball, and theology. He is scared of heights and horses. PK has a heart for family ministry and gospel-centered preaching that is born of his desire to make the Bible relevant to an often indifferent culture. Lynn Hodges

Lynn is the Worship Leader at Sawyers Creek Baptist Church. She lives with her husband Chuck and has two children Jacob and A. J. Lynn has served SCBC all of her life. As a child she used to dust and polish the choir chairs and now she is leading the singers that set in them. 

Kay Passante

Kay is the Secretary and Book Keeper of Sawyers Creek Baptist Church. She graduated from Maranatha Christ School in Florence, SC. She worked at William E. Wood and Albemarle Realtor Association before surrendering to the call serve at SCBC. She lives with her husband Joe and has two children Jessica and Joseph and granddaughter Kelsey. Her interests include traveling, reading, thrift shopping, and singing in the choir. She loves to pray and serve her faith family.

Minnie Arnold

Minnie is the custodian/caretaker of Sawyers Creek Baptist Church. She was born and raised in this area. She has served her church in this position for over fifty years. She has three daughters Mindy, Lynn, and Arleen. Her interests include crafting, sewing, and spending time with her friends and family. She has dedicated her life to serving the people of Sawyers Creek Baptist Church, and loves to see families enjoy their time of worship.
